Seems like another suitor is coming forward…not Symantec. Be interesting to see if this comes true

Makes sense for a company like Symantec. Considering their footprints in Storage mgt, Archiving, Backup & Recovery, DLP (acquired Vontu), Storage reporting …. and so on… acquiring e-Discovery leader like Kazeon would be a definite huge plus in their product portfolio.
Does anyone have an idea how Xact eDiscovery compares with Kazeon and Autonomy? I understand Xact is scalable, customizable and a complete e2e solution.
We’re hearing through the grapevine that Kazeon is in acquisition talks with Symantec. Still just a rumor at this point… David Ferris
Kazeon’s been adding quite a bit on the analysis, review and legal hold front … they seem like a full fledged eDiscovery vendor now … sort of like Autonomy but without the heavy-weight nature … who do they really compete with? Clearwell’s too much of a niche player in analysis, others are too small or less known, Autonomy is the heavy-weight, Guidance is a competitor but they are faltering … maybe a shakeup is happening? What are the enterprise information mgt companies like EMC, Symantec etc. up to?
