    Interesting note from someone who requested anonymity:

    HP RISS (or whatever they call it now) and some other solutions don’t seem to get the critical mass. I would not be surprised if RISS gets EOLed and transformed into a storage/indexing engine without any built-in application support within the next 24 months as it has been a complete disaster commercially for HP. No one likes it: Customers don’t want to be completely locked-in with a Hard/Software combination for 10+ years, 3rd-party software companies don’t trust it as it has application logic built-in and the channel hates it as most projects have been sold directly by HP.
