Speakers

  • David Ferris, Senior Analyst, Ferris Research. A technology analyst since 1991, David got into computer science research at Stanford University while working on a Ph.D. in philosophy. He wrote the first syndicated column in the computer industry and has since written hundreds of articles and bulletins and co-authored three books. Initially focusing on messaging technologies, David recently expanded his areas of knowledge to include compliance, archiving, content control, e-discovery, and data leak protection. He is frequently quoted in the technology and business press.
  • Fritz Mueller, Senior Director of Product Management, MetaLINCS, a Seagate company. Fritz has more than 20 years of product management and engineering experience in the computer industry and has helped define MetaLINCS’ pioneering use of analytics in e-discovery. Previously, he was the Senior Director of Product Management for Keynote Systems, where he helped create the first suite of Web site analysis services leading to an IPO. He also held marketing positions in early-stage startups NetManage and Telebit.
  • Chuck Williams, Chief Technology Officer, MetaLINCS. Before joining MetaLINCS, Chuck was president of InQuira, a market and technology leader in the natural language search and self-service space. Prior to that, he was the founder and CEO of Brightware, where he created the first e-CRM packaged offering, pioneered Web self-service, and led the company to the forefront of the email customer service market. He also founded Inference, where he created the first commercial artificial intelligence products and brought the first customer service problem resolution application to market. He received a B.S. in computer science from the University of Southern California and an M.S. in information and computer science from the University of California, Irvine.
  • Conrad Jacoby, founder of efficientEDD, a consultancy specializing in e-discovery and litigation information management issues. A seasoned litigator as well as a technology consultant, Conrad writes and speaks extensively on e-discovery issues. He is a long-standing member of the Sedona Conference Working Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production and co-chairs the District of Columbia Bar’s Law Practice Management Section.
