BlackBerries deliver the most widespread and well-proven mobile solution for business connectivity. Nevertheless, the world of archiving and compliance has only made limited inroads.
We’ve just learned about Gwava’s Retain for BlackBerry Enterprise Server. This new product sounds useful:
- Archives text messages/SMS, phone logs, and PIN traffic into a database.
- Provides extensive reporting and search over the archive.
There’s no client software, which helps contain support costs, makes life easier for users, and also means there’s less scope for tampering by users. Also, note the support for PIN messages, which might otherwise go unrecorded.
