Sender authentication (AKA sender authorization) is an important addition to the email standards set. It helps email recipients determine if a message has been forged. Sender authentication is not a solution to the spam problem, but it is a platform for building better spam filtering – for example, improved reputation services.

Internet standards are being drafted to formalize these technologies. Senders currently have two main ways to vouch for the authenticity of their messages: Sender Policy Framework (SPF, with the related Sender ID Framework) and Domain Keys Identified Mail (DKIM).

In this webinar, industry experts look at the hows and whys of sender authentication.
