Utilizes the Intrusion Mitigation Unified Network Engine (IMUNE), which combines multiple detection technologies such as protocol anomaly detection, vulnerability attack interception, signature recognition, denial-of-service and scan detection, and IDS evasion detection. Computer Associates released results for 1Q2005, ended June 30. Revenue increased 9% to $860 million with a GAAP net income of $53 million.

McAfee announced that it has completed the sale of the Sniffer Technologies business to Network General Corporation. Total consideration being received for the sale is approximately $235 million.
