erris Research partnered with Computerworld to conduct a Web-based survey about the messaging concerns and priorities of CIOs and other high-level (VP and above) corporate managers. Managers were asked to rank their levels of concern about 26 issues, ranging from TCO improvements and telephony integration, to encrypted email and instant messaging connectivity.

Since 2002, Cloudmark has offered a collaborative approach to spam reporting, known as SpamNet. Using a plugin to Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express, users can simply click a button to report spam. In return, the plugin automatically quarantines suspected spam. The users of SpamNet (and of its open-source companion, Vipul’s Razor) form a community of one million spam fighters.

FrontBridge offers a service approach to deploying email boundary security. For a monthly fee, FrontBridge will scan your incoming mail, block DoS attacks, remove the spam and viruses, and deliver the legitimate mail to you.
